Ghosti is a browser extension that helps you write better tweets. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data stored locally in your browser:

Your personality profile (writing style, topics, tone preferences)
Saved tweets and meme bank images
Extension settings and preferences
Boo mascot XP and level progress

This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly use AI generation features.

Website Analytics

On ghostiapp.com, we use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and improve the site. Vercel processes anonymous page views, including the page URL, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type.

Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies or store your IP address. It uses a temporary anonymous visitor identifier that expires after 24 hours and is not used to track you across other websites. Website analytics does not collect extension prompts, generated content, API keys, saved tweets, meme images, or your activity on X or Reddit.

AI Generation

When you use AI features (Generate, Polish, Remix, etc.), your prompt text is sent directly to the AI provider you've configured (e.g. Google Gemini, OpenAI). We do not proxy, store, or log any of your prompts or generated content. Your API key is stored locally in your browser and sent directly to the provider.

What We Don't Collect

We don't use website analytics to collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information
We don't track your browsing activity outside ghostiapp.com
We don't access your Twitter/X account credentials
We don't store extension prompts, generated content, or API keys on our servers
We don't sell personal data

Permissions

Ghosti requires access to twitter.com/x.com pages to inject its UI buttons. It does not read, modify, or transmit any data from those pages beyond what you explicitly interact with.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension update notes.
